All Mehak wanted for her 15th birthday was to take photos with her friends. Mehak and her friends wore traditional saris to showcase her Indian heritage for the photo shoot. This was my first time working with this type of South Asian dress, and it was an artist’s dream to capture these vibrantly colored saris. The girls were adorned with beautiful necklaces, earrings, and headdresses to complete the look.  I had so much fun during this photo shoot; they were so full of energy. We even had an impromptu dance lesson where they  taught me how to Bolly Dance and I taught them how to Belly Dance. Later, some of the girls demonstrated their mastery of foreign accents and impressions which was quite hilarious. Happy birthday and best wishes to Mehak!
